The drama is already sizzling before the first firepit recoupling, as a secret feud between two Love Island: All Stars contestants has been exposed by eagle-eyed fans. The new series, set to launch next week on ITV2, will see the return of series 12 star Helena Ford, but it seems there's one fellow islander she may not be swapping numbers with.
An Old Tweet Sparks New Drama
Following the official 2026 line-up reveal by ITV, fans quickly unearthed a seemingly forgotten tweet from Helena Ford dating back to 2018. In the post, she appears to accuse series three star Charlie Frederick of getting her 16th birthday party shut down, while also claiming he insulted her appearance.
The viral tweet, which resurfaced last year, reads: "Nah that Charlie Fredrick [sic] kid got my 16th party closed down, said I looked like a dolphin." Sharing the discovery online, one fan highlighted the potential for on-screen tension, writing: "So seems like Helena and Charlie have met."
Fan Reaction and Official Comments
The revelation sent social media and forums like Reddit into a frenzy. One excited viewer commented: "This is bonkers. And honestly exactly the kind of beef I want... please let this be a major plot point it's so bizarre and hilarious." Another simply stated: "Ok now this is the kinda foolishness I can get behind!"
According to a source speaking to The Sun, the pair "went to school together and do know each other". However, they added that Helena "doesn't really remember why she was upset". The Mirror has contacted representatives for the show and both islanders for further comment.
The Star-Studded All Stars Line-Up
This unexpected pre-show drama comes as ITV confirmed the full roster for Love Island: All Stars. The villa will welcome back a host of fan favourites including series seven winner Millie Court, series 10 stars Whitney Adebayo and Jess Harding, and series five's Belle Hassan.
They will be joined by a diverse mix of returning islanders such as series eight's Jack Keating (son of Ronan Keating), series six's Leanne Amaning, last year's Tommy Bradley, series 11's Sean Stone and series nine's Shaq Muhammad.
Familiar faces will also be guiding the action, with Maya Jama returning to host for her third series and Iain Stirling back on narration duties. Maya, 31, was forced to miss the official launch event after falling ill.
While the new batch of All Stars search for love, one former ITV farming couple is celebrating their own romance. Sheep farmer Will Young, 26, and Australian Jessie Wynter, 29, got engaged last month, with Will sharing the secret December proposal news on Instagram.
