Love Island All Stars viewers were left scratching their heads after a dramatic twist on Monday (February 16) saw Belle Hassan and Sean Stone seemingly bury the hatchet. The pair, who had been at loggerheads in recent episodes, shared a warm embrace after Sean proposed they become 'best friends'.
Belle, who had previously been embroiled in heated rows with Sean and Lucinda Strafford, announced she was 'retiring' from the drama. 'The storm's clearing. No more hurricane,' she declared, as Sean echoed the sentiment, asking if they could 'retire together'.
The sudden change in dynamics came after the girls received emotional phone calls from home in Sunday's episode, prompting a desire to move past the conflicts. Belle also made amends with Scott van-der-Sluis, much to the bemusement of Leanne Amaning and Lucinda.
Fans took to social media to express their confusion, with one writing: 'The switch up is wild today, what's going on?' Another commented: 'Belle couldn't make it more obvious she was pulled by producers. Every second it's, 'Hurricane Belle is over,' or, 'I'm so glad the drama is over'. I'm so tired.'
Meanwhile, the episode also saw Sean ask Lucinda to be his girlfriend, and Whitney Adebayo and Yemen Sanders enjoyed a date after losing a game of Knowing Me, Knowing You. Love Island All Stars continues Sunday to Friday on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm.
