Laguna Beach Cast Reunites for 20th Anniversary Special on Roku

The cast of 'Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County' is reuniting for a two-hour special to mark the show's 20th anniversary. The Roku Channel special, currently titled 'Roku Presents: The Laguna Beach Reunion,' is set for 2026 and will be the first time the full cast has come together since the series ended in 2006.

Confirmed participants include Lauren Conrad, Stephen Colletti, Kristin Cavallari, Lo Bosworth, Talan Torriero, Trey Phillips, Christina Shuller, Dieter Schmitz, Jessica Smith and Alex Hooser. The original series aired on MTV for three seasons from 2004 to 2006 and spawned spin-offs 'The Hills' and 'The City.'

Creator Liz Gateley will executive produce the special under Damsel Media, alongside Conrad, Colletti and Cavallari. Gateley said: 'When I first pitched the show to my bosses at MTV, never in a million years did I think we would find such a perfect group of real friends. The show not only changed my life and the cast’s lives, but the series meant so much to a generation of fans who’ve been waiting for this.'

Lucilla D’Agostino, Barry Poznick and Bill Langworthy also executive produce, with Langworthy serving as showrunner. Olivia LaRoche and Louisa Lenander Friedman will oversee the special for Roku Originals. Brian Tannenbaum, Head of Roku Originals, said: 'Laguna Beach wasn’t just a television series; it defined a generation of pop culture and paved the way for the reality genre as we know it.'

The cast previously reunited virtually in 2020 to encourage voting, and in 2022 Conrad appeared on the 'Back to the Beach' recap podcast hosted by Colletti and Cavallari to discuss their former love triangle.
