Reality television personality Iris Kendall has moved to clarify a significant mix-up regarding her career choices before appearing on a popular dating show. The former Love Island USA contestant admitted she incorrectly named the series she nearly joined, sparking confusion among fans and media outlets.
A Case of Mistaken Identity
Kendall, who featured in season seven of the hit dating programme, recently stated in an interview that she had declined an offer to appear on the Bravo series The Valley in favour of Love Island. However, the star has now confessed she 'messed up' during that conversation.
Speaking exclusively to The Daily Mail at the Vanderpump Dog Gala in Beverly Hills last Thursday, Kendall explained the error. 'I brain fart all the time!' she said, offering a sincere apology for the confusion. She clarified that while she was indeed 'in talks' for a reality show, it was not the Bravo production she initially named.
'There was a show about Calabasas that I was reached out to from, didn't end up working out, and I didn't really go further,' Kendall revealed. 'But I thought it was called The Valley, so I said that it was The Valley, but it's not The Valley!'
Setting the Record Straight
This correction directly addresses comments Kendall made several months ago to E! News. In that interview, she was quoted as saying, 'They asked me to be on that show,' referring to The Valley, and confirmed she declined because her priority was finding love on Love Island.
Her journey on Love Island USA was a rollercoaster. She initially dated and broke up with fellow contestant TJ Palma on the show, ultimately finishing in fourth place with Pepe Garcia. While her romance with Garcia ended after the villa, Kendall has since rekindled her relationship with Palma in the real world.
Navigating Love in the Public Eye
The couple, who attended the Vanderpump Dog Gala together, spoke about the challenges of building a relationship under public scrutiny. 'It's tough with the public, you know, just having everyone watch everything you're doing,' Palma admitted, though he noted things have been going 'super well.'
Kendall emphasised the importance of balance. 'It's a balance of keeping some things for ourselves and also sharing with everybody else,' she said. 'We're still learning and we're doing our best, but we're having fun and I think that's the most important part about our relationship.'
Meanwhile, the actual series The Valley is preparing for its third season with some new additions. Bravo recently announced that Vanderpump Rules alumni Lala Kent and Tom Schwartz will be joining the cast, promising fresh dynamics for the spin-off show.
