Celebrity Gogglebox star Rylan Clark has offered fans a peek inside his stunning £1.3 million Essex mansion, a home filled with personality and glamour. The 37-year-old presenter, who rose to fame on The X Factor and Celebrity Big Brother, regularly shares glimpses of his five-bedroom property in Brentwood on social media and during appearances on the Channel 4 show.
A Home with Unique Touches
Rylan's home is packed with personal features, including a Big Brother Diary Room chair and an indoor swimming pool. After appearing on Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, he purchased the iconic round chair and LED doorbell from the show. He once described the Diary Room as his "favourite room in the house."
"We all know how much I’m obsessed by Big Brother and I have nothing better to do with my time so I built a diary room. It’s quite like the diary room as well – which is exciting," Rylan said. He added that some people sell Big Brother memorabilia on eBay, but he believes such items should be preserved in a museum.
Living Room and Kitchen
Rylan's living room is a central feature of Celebrity Gogglebox, where he appears alongside his mother, Linda. The pair sit on a large green sofa, which provides a cozy spot for watching TV. Behind the sofa, the open-plan layout reveals a spacious kitchen equipped with a large American fridge-freezer and a wine rack. Rylan has admitted that the kitchen is the area where he spends the most time, saying, "I spent a lot of time in here – even though I've got a cinema room, it's where I sit at night, and watch TV."
Indoor Pool and Garden Oasis
Another impressive feature is the indoor swimming pool, located in an outbuilding. Rylan has enjoyed the pool with showbiz friends, including Alan Carr, with whom he shared a night of "skinny dipping" along with pizza, drinks, and karaoke. The garden also includes an outdoor kitchen area with a sink, barbecue, fridge, and pizza oven.
Neighbourhood and Celebrity Neighbours
Rylan isn't the only star in the neighbourhood. Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan own a £3.5 million mansion nearby. In 2022, Mark joked about moving out after Rylan discovered a snake on his property. Rylan revealed the reptile had slithered onto his land, saying, "I can’t deal with it." When the snake returned, Mark quipped, "Jesus!! I’m moving!! How have you not warned me earlier lol." Rylan responded, "Mate get that guest room made up I’m on my way," to which Mark replied, "Haha it’s there when you want it pal, just don’t bring ya mate."
Design Philosophy and Family Tastes
Rylan designed his home to create his "own little Rylan-land." While he enjoys spending time with his mother, their interior tastes differ. He described Linda as "a real hoarder" and noted, "I think I very much like to colour match, she likes to contrast." He explained that her kitchen is royal blue and rose gold, but she often adds gold accents that don't quite match.
