A mystery celebrity has been forced to leave the I'm A Celebrity... South Africa All Stars series after being advised by medics to depart. The campmate, whose identity will be revealed in tonight's episode, expressed their disappointment at having to cut their journey short.
In final words recorded before their exit, the star told fellow campmates: 'I didn't feel very well this morning… and the medics have advised I can’t return to camp.' They added: 'I’ve got to go home. I don’t want to go. I’m absolutely gutted. I wanted to finish.'
The departure follows the double eviction that saw Gemma Collins and David Haye leave the camp. Haye later criticised Adam Thomas for not participating in trials, claiming the actor was lazy rather than genuinely unwell. Thomas, who has psoriatic arthritis, had previously said Haye 'broke' him in camp.
Haye defended his comments, stating: 'I've been immersed in tough boxing gyms since I was ten years old… So when a grown man tells me that a fun TV show is the hardest thing he's ever been through, it's just not a frequency I recognise.' He maintained he was 'on my best behaviour' in the jungle.
Gemma Collins leapt to Thomas's defence on Instagram, urging fans to 'protect my lovely friend @adamthomas21 at all costs'. Her post was met with support, with one follower commenting: 'Everyone needs a Gemma.'
