Ruby Wax and Angryginge Tackle Crocodile Anus in First Bushtucker Trial

Comedian Ruby Wax and social media personality Angryginge, real name Morgan Burtwistle, faced a gruelling first bushtucker trial on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, consuming crickets, cockroaches, mealworms and a crocodile's anus. The challenge, named 'The Divey', was overseen by presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, and required the pair to complete 10 rounds of jungle food to earn stars and meals for camp.

The trial began with a dish inspired by Maya Jama, called Cryer Jama, consisting of giant cockroaches and mealworms topped with dehydrated critters. After finishing five cockroaches and five mealworms, Burtwistle remarked: “If that’s the one we’re starting with, we’re in trouble.” Wax then consumed a witchetty grub topped with a cricket crouton, inspired by Timothee Chalamet and named Grimothy Chalomet.

Burtwistle later ate a bull’s tongue with fish eye glaze (Margot Gobby), six snails with beachworm reduction (The Slime-on Cowell), and a camel toe with cockroach-infused smoke (Russell Toe), which caused him to retch and exclaim: “It’s come back up in my mouth.” He finished with the worst item, Benedict Bum-berbatch, a crocodile’s anus, which left him grabbing the sick bucket and barely keeping it down.

Wax then consumed a cow’s teet with duck tongue coulis (Ronan Teeting), three vomit fruits with vomit fruit jus (Dame Spew-dy Dench), and a pig’s testicle with fermented seaweed foam (Hugh Sackman). Struggling with the latter, she joked: “I think I’m pregnant.” To finish, she ate the tip of a bull’s penis with a sparkler (The Knob Beckett), securing 10 out of 10 stars and delighting their campmates.

In other challenges, model Kelly Brook and Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp successfully answered a question about the number of Kelly’s films versus Spandau Ballet’s top 40 singles, winning chocolate for the camp. Meanwhile, TV personality Jack Osbourne opened up to EastEnders actress Lisa Riley about the death of his father, Ozzy Osbourne, describing it as a shock and saying: “It was the ultimate mic drop.”
