I'm A Celeb fans 'disgusted' as Lisa Riley kisses Ruby Wax's unwashed knickers
I'm A Celeb viewers slam Lisa Riley's 'disingenuous' antics

Viewers of ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! have expressed their revulsion after contestant Lisa Riley's controversial reaction to fellow campmate Ruby Wax's exit from the jungle.

An Unusual 'Good Luck' Charm

The incident unfolded after comedian Ruby Wax was voted off the show on Wednesday, 4th December 2025, becoming the fifth celebrity to leave. As she departed, she passed on her bright red 'lucky' knickers to her fellow camp leader, Lisa Riley, declaring she was "crowning" her with the pants.

The Emmerdale actress then proceeded to wrap the underwear around her wrist. In a later Bush Telegraph segment, she was seen kissing the garment three times. The act took a more stomach-churning turn when Ruby Wax later revealed to The Mirror: "The underpants were never washed. Sorry to share. Mine were flipped over a couple times, and that was it."

Viewer Backlash Erupts Online

Social media was quickly flooded with criticism from disgusted fans. Many took to platform X to voice their disapproval of Lisa's behaviour.

One viewer wrote: "Lisa is so embarrassing. Kissing Ruby's knickers yuck." Another added: "Eww Lisa stop kissing Ruby's knickers...."

Beyond the hygiene concerns, a significant number of fans accused the 48-year-old actress of being insincere. "Once again feeling mean saying this," one comment began, "But Lisa just seems so disingenuous in everything she says/does."

This sentiment was echoed by others who labelled her actions "false" and "diabolical". One user stated: "I so hope Lisa goes tonight..she's irritating me. All a bit false i think." A third simply said: "Lisa having Ruby’s knickers around her wrist for luck is diabolical."

Camp Dynamics Shift After Exit

Ruby Wax's departure has left Lisa Riley and Shona McGarty as the only two women remaining in the camp. They are joined by fellow contestants Tom Read Wilson, 'Angry' Ginge, Martin Kemp, rapper Aitch, and Jack Osbourne.

With Ruby's exit, Lisa was forced to move out of the leaders' treehouse. The camp then decided to abandon the leader system altogether, opting for a democratic approach to assigning chores. "Democracy at last!" exclaimed Tom Read Wilson.

Lisa and Martin Kemp volunteered for Dunny Duty and washing up. Ginge remarked that it was right for Lisa to volunteer as she had been "bossing us about".

Martin Kemp is currently the favourite to be the next celebrity eliminated, according to the latest odds, with Lisa and Shona also tipped to be at risk. The current favourites to win the series are Aitch and Angry Ginge, despite recent drama over them secretly eating extra milk bottle sweets with former contestant Kelly Brook.
