Rule Broken in Dramatic Toothbrush Rescue
Rapper Aitch has exposed a major rule breach in the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! camp, less than 24 hours after the celebrities arrived. The confession came following a dramatic toothbrush rescue mission involving actress Lisa Reilly and fellow campmate Kelly Brook.
The incident unfolded when Kelly, 45, was cleaning her teeth and a bug landed on her hand. Startled, she flicked the insect away but accidentally sent her toothbrush flying into the dense undergrowth below the camp area. Without hesitation, Lisa, 49, climbed the camp's perimeter fence to retrieve the lost item.
Aitch witnessed the entire event and immediately went to the Bush Telegraph to share what he'd seen. He said: "Lisa saved the day, she got right down there, I don't even think she's allowed down there to be honest. She's breaking the rules and everything, she's a badman."
Camp Life Gets Off to a Rocky Start
Meanwhile, other campmates were adjusting to their new jungle surroundings in various ways. Comedian Eddie Kadi woke up full of excitement for the day ahead, despite the fact that a rat had been crawling over him as he slept. He was seen snoozing comfortably in the shelter, unlike his campmates who were sleeping outdoors.
Kelly Brook was quick to point out the disparity in sleeping arrangements, exclaiming: "You're in paradise up there!" She then gestured to her own bed, adding: "Look at this! There's not even a blanket in here." The model and presenter stressed how different her new environment was from her usual home comforts, stating: "This is definitely a departure from what I'm used to."
Mindfulness and Gruelling Trials Begin
Ruby, 72, started her day by leading a group meditation session down by the creek. She was joined by Lisa, Shona McGarty, Jack Osbourne, Kelly and Alex Scott, who all reported feeling boosted by the session. Afterwards, Kelly quizzed Ruby on how she developed her interest in mindfulness and wellbeing.
Ruby revealed: "I went to university 10 years ago and got my degree - in neuroscience, mindfulness and cognitive therapy at Oxford, and I was really stupid as a kid!" She then slammed her fellow students at the prestigious institution, adding: "They were snobby."
The first bushtucker trial of the series saw Ruby and campmate Angry Ginge, real name Morgan Burtwistle, voted by the public to face a gruelling eating challenge. Hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly informed the campmates that the trial would present both celebrities with the chance to earn food for the camp.
Ginge was served camel toe, with Ant noting the "cockroach-infused smoke" that accompanied the dish's reveal. The social media star tackled the plate with a knife and fork, prompting Dec to accuse him of being "la-de-dah" and commenting: "you've changed since you've been on the telly."
I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! continues to air at 9pm on ITV1, STV, ITVX and STV Player.
