Comedian Ruby Wax and social media personality Angryginge, real name Morgan Burtwistle, endured a series of revolting delicacies during the first Bushtucker trial of the new series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! The pair took on 'The Divey', a challenge presented by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, which required them to consume ten rounds of jungle food, each earning a star and a meal for camp.
The trial began with a Maya Jama-inspired dish called 'Cryer Jama', consisting of giant cockroaches and mealworms. After finishing the dish, Burtwistle remarked: 'If that's the one we're starting with, we're in trouble.' Wax then tackled a Timothée Chalamet-inspired creation, 'Grimothy Chalomet', a witchetty grub topped with a cricket crouton, which she completed without issue.
Burtwistle later faced 'Margot Gobby' (bull's tongue with fish eye glaze), 'The Slime-on Cowell' (six snails with beachworm reduction), and 'Russell Toe' (camel toe with cockroach-infused smoke), which caused him to retch. He finished with 'Benedict Bum-berbatch', a crocodile's anus, which left him grabbing the sick bucket. Wax consumed 'Ronan Teeting' (cow's teat with duck tongue coulis), 'Dame Spew-dy Dench' (three vomit fruits), and 'Hugh Sackman' (pig's testicle with fermented seaweed foam), commenting: 'I think I'm pregnant.' The final dish, 'The Knob Beckett' (bull's penis with a sparkler), was eaten by Wax, securing ten out of ten stars for the camp.
In other challenges, Kelly Brook and Martin Kemp participated in 'Dingo Balls', answering questions to win chocolate for camp. Meanwhile, Jack Osbourne spoke emotionally to Lisa Riley about the death of his father, Ozzy Osbourne, describing it as 'the ultimate mic drop' and noting that it was still 'pretty fresh' after nearly four months.
