I'm A Celebrity Fans Defend Aitch & Ginge After Ant McPartlin's 'Liars' Outburst
I'm A Celeb Fans Side With Aitch & Ginge Over Ant Outburst

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! fans have hit back at presenter Ant McPartlin following his angry on-air outburst about a jungle 'sweet-gate' scandal. The controversy erupted during the Wednesday 4th December 2025 live show, after comedian Ruby Wax became the latest celebrity to be eliminated from the Australian camp.

The Sweet Scandal That Rocked The Camp

The drama centres on a secret stash of milk bottle sweets won during a Dingo Dollars challenge. Contestants Kelly Brook, alongside the YouTube star known as Angry Ginge and rapper Aitch, decided to keep half of the treats for themselves instead of sharing the full haul with the entire camp. The deception was only revealed as 46-year-old former model Kelly Brook was leaving, announcing to her campmates: "By the way, there were more than 10 milk bottles."

In camp, Ginge attempted to explain the situation, stating, "There were 13, so hence we had one for us three and she took the first one, that’s why." He added, "Kelly’s to blame for it, you’ll see when you get out." Fellow camper Martin told the pair their actions were their own responsibility, but the incident appeared to blow over without major fallout.

Ant And Dec's Fiery Reaction Sparks Viewer Backlash

However, presenting duo Ant and Dec were far from impressed that the revelation didn't cause more friction. Speaking to Ruby Wax in her exit interview, Ant referenced the incident, seemingly placing blame solely on Aitch and Ginge. He later expressed his frustration on the live show, exclaiming "What? That's terrible man!" when he learned the camp had moved on.

"Liars!" Ant snapped, with his co-host Dec agreeing and adding, "Dirty little liars." This strong take did not sit well with a significant portion of the show's audience, who quickly took to social media to defend the Mancunian pair and criticise the presenters.

Viewers And Celebrities Take Sides

Fans were quick to point out the perceived bias in Ant's summary. One viewer wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "The way ant and dec are telling ruby that aitch and ginge stole sweets even tho she did the exact same thing dawg do you think she cares #ImACeleb." Another added: "Ant and Dec telling Ruby about the milk bottles making it sound like just the boys had the sweets, not Kelly as well."

Even fellow presenter Joel Dommett faced criticism on the spin-off show 'I'm A Celebrity... Extra Camp' for suggesting Aitch and Ginge had thrown Kelly under the bus. A fan countered, "Wrong she threw them under the bus. #Grass #imaceleb #unpacked."

The sentiment was echoed by earlier eliminated campmate Vogue Williams, who branded Kelly a "snake" after being shown footage of the trio's antics. "I'm kind of surprised at Kelly. Oh my God. That's desperate! I'd never do that," she said.

Yet, in a defiant post-exit interview with The Mirror at the celebrity hotel, Kelly Brook showed no remorse. She confessed her reveal was a deliberate masterplan to "put the cat among the pigeons" and that she had been "saving it up" for her departure to show there was "gameplay" happening. "I kind of secretly had a hunch that maybe I'd leave before Aitch and Ginge, so it was just kind of my little trump card as I left," she explained. Kelly also stated she felt no guilt, comparing her actions to other campmates like Shona McGarty keeping contraband butter.

The fallout from 'sweet-gate' continues to dominate discussion around the ITV reality show, proving that sometimes the biggest jungle dramas aren't about bugs or bushtucker trials, but about hidden confectionery and divided loyalties.
