Kelly Brook has broken her silence after leaving the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here jungle, admitting she feels no guilt over exposing her campmates' secret sweet-eating. The former model, who was the fourth celebrity voted off the ITV show on Tuesday night, told hosts Ant and Dec she had 'thrown a grenade' into camp by revealing that Manchester stars Aitch and Ginge had taken extra milk bottle sweets from a challenge.
In an interview with the Mirror, Brook doubled down on her actions, stating: 'I do not feel guilty one bit!' She explained that she had been 'saving it up' for her departure and wanted to put the 'cat among the pigeons' by highlighting the gameplay in camp. 'I kind of secretly had a hunch that maybe I'd leave before Aitch and Ginge, so it was just kind of my little trump card as I left,' she said.
Brook also defended her own decision to eat the sweets, pointing out that fellow campmate Shona McGarty had kept contraband butter to herself. 'After the EastEnders actress ate the lot, I said to myself, "Right, every man for himself,"' she recalled. She added that she was delighted to leave a lasting impression, laughing: 'I might be out of the show, but you'll be talking about me... don't worry.'
On a more emotional note, Brook spoke about reuniting with her husband, Jeremy Parisi, after three weeks apart. 'I can't tell you the emotion I had, I cried my eyes out,' the Loose Women star said. She also expressed joy at seeing her dog Teddy again, noting that he had been watching her on the show every night.
