Football pundit Alex Scott was secretly rushed to the medical tent during her time on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! after discovering a tick burrowed into her shoulder. The horrifying moment occurred off-screen and will not be shown to the public.
Scott explained that she felt a lump on her shoulder while sitting next to Martin Kemp after carrying logs. When she asked Kemp to look, Kelly Brook jumped up and shouted it was a tick, prompting Scott to panic and head to medical. Medics successfully removed the tick, and Scott admitted she always thought such incidents wouldn't happen to her.
This is not the first time insect-related incidents have occurred on the show. In 2022, Jill Scott had a cockroach stuck in her ear, which required flushing with water. The same happened to Coleen Rooney in 2024. In 2011, Fatima Whitbread had a cockroach wedged up her nose, which was removed by medic Doctor Bob; she kept the insect as a souvenir.
Former contestant Scarlette Douglas recalled that the medical tent is always available for serious issues. She mentioned being covered in mosquito bites despite using repellent, and recalled Seann Walsh screaming after being bitten by a tiny scorpion. Earlier this week, show bosses were reportedly on 'red alert' due to high humidity in the jungle.
