I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here has confirmed the return of a fan favourite that hasn't been seen on the show in six years. The live trial, which last aired in 2019, will make a comeback in the current series, featuring a drinking competition called 'Cocktails Of Cruelty'. Each celebrity must pick two 'delicious' jungle ingredients for their opponent to drink, with the first to finish and place their glass back on the table winning.
The last live trial in the Australian jungle took place in 2019, featuring celebrities such as Caitlyn Jenner, Roman Kemp and Ian Wright. A live trial was also held when the series was filmed in Wales in 2020 due to pandemic travel restrictions. Memorable past moments include Gillian McKeith fainting live on air in 2010.
The announcement comes after the campmates were evacuated from camp due to a severe storm in New South Wales. The Bureau of Meteorology had issued warnings for storms capable of producing 'giant hail and destructive winds' in the region where the show is filmed. A show source confirmed that health and safety protocols were activated, moving celebrities to the Bush Telegraph until the storm passed.
