Coronation Street fans have been left wondering who Harry Platt's father is after recent tense scenes involving the young boy and his former stepfather, Kit Green. Harry's mother, Sarah Platt, is currently in prison following the death of Theo Silverton, leaving her daughter Bethany and ex-boyfriend Kit to care for Harry.
Sarah's imprisonment and family turmoil
Sarah was taken into custody for the murder of Theo Silverton after viewers saw her strike him with a metal pipe earlier this year, resulting in his death. While Sarah is behind bars, Bethany and Kit have been looking after Harry. However, recent episodes saw Sarah end her relationship with Kit while in prison, concerned that their association could damage his professional prospects.
In Thursday's episode, available on ITV X, Kit struggled to manage young Harry, who turned on his former stepfather. After informing Harry that he'd enrolled him in an end of summer club at Glenda Shuttleworth's Little Big Shotz, the youngster reacted badly, wrecking their home before running off to locate Sarah at the Bistro.
Who is Harry's father?
Sarah is the daughter of Gail Platt and Brian Tilsley. Following Brian's death in 1989, Martin Platt became Sarah's adoptive father. In 2000, Sarah gave birth to daughter Bethany at just thirteen, with Bethany's father being Neil Fearns, who passed away in 2003.
In 2016, Sarah welcomed her son Harry, whose father is Callum Logan. Villain Callum died in 2015, and nearly six months after his death, Sarah gave birth to his son Harry. This means Harry has Bethany as a half-sister and Max Turner as a half-brother.
Adam Barlow's role and future episodes
Adam Barlow became a father figure to Harry following his marriage to Sarah in 2020, but the pair later separated, with Sarah moving on to Kit. In forthcoming episodes, Adam criticises Kit's approach to parenting Harry, suggesting to the police officer that Harry should remain with him for the remainder of the holidays, as it's vital they all share the responsibility.
