Handcuffed Viewers Baffled By Clothing Conundrum On Channel 4

Viewers of Channel 4's new reality series Handcuffed: Last Pair Standing were left scratching their heads over a practical question just minutes into the first episode. The show, which aired on Monday (March 2) evening and is hosted by Jonathan Ross, sees nine pairs of strangers chained together around the clock, competing for a £100,000 prize.

Contestants must remain handcuffed at all times, including while performing tasks such as using the toilet and bathing. They can remove the cuffs at any point, but doing so means instant elimination. The final pair standing wins the cash. However, viewers quickly took to social media to ask how the participants manage to get dressed and undressed while shackled.

One viewer wrote on X: "#HandCuffed how to are they getting dressed and undressed. if they handcuffed together and lose if they take them off." Another asked: "Genuine question how are they going to get dressed and undressed whilst handcuffed? #handcuffed." A third added: "How do they change their clothes with handcuffs on? #handcuffed."

The first episode introduced three pairs, with more to come in the six-part series. Sir Ben Slade and George became the first to quit after 12 hours and 45 minutes, following a disagreement at a dinner party. Sir Ben, the 7th Baronet of Maunsel, said: "I was surprised by having some challenging and honest conversations about class."

Meanwhile, Tilly and Antony have emerged as early viewer favourites, with many predicting they will win. One fan posted: "I hope Tilly and Antony win purely from the first 30 minutes of this what a pair #Handcuffed." Another declared: "Tilly and Antony winners #handcuffed." A third added: "I thought i was gonna hate Antony but he's actually ok and i think he and Tilly will stay the course and build a lovely relationship #Handcuffed."

Handcuffed: Last Pair Standing airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 9pm on Channel 4, and is available to stream.
