The BBC's Gladiators series has returned with a new season, introducing two new Gladiators, including Cyclone, a 23-year-old Irish powerlifter. Standing at 5 foot 10, Cyclone describes herself as the ultimate all-round athlete, bringing dark feminine energy and a fierce determination to win.
Cyclone, who is not afraid to own any space she's in, says her strongest traits are laser focus, physical strength, speed, agility, and overall power. She considers herself a beast at Duel and a weapon at Powerball, warning opponents that being on the receiving end of her tackles is not fun.
The new series also sees the return of the legendary Atlaspheres and the introduction of a brand-new event, Unleash. Cyclone praised the set as breathtaking and the Sheffield audience as wild, giving her the energy to perform at her best. She noted that the other Gladiators have also elevated their performances, adding to the excitement.
Cyclone shared that she eats a lot of calories to build muscle and recover from intense training. Her approach involves working backwards from her goals, such as training short sprints for Powerball or climbing more for The Wall. She enjoys a varied training split.
Working with hosts Barney and Bradley Walsh was a positive experience, though Cyclone joked that they might be afraid of her. The new series promises to be tougher and more powerful than ever, with Cyclone aiming to be the most intense and powerful Gladiator.
