Gale Brophy, the breakout star of Netflix's glitzy reality series Members Only Palm Beach, has publicly declared she will no longer engage with rumours of a behind-the-scenes feud with fellow cast member Taja Abitbol.
The Instagram Statement: A Call for Dignity
In a lengthy statement posted to Instagram, the businesswoman and society veteran addressed the swirling press reports head-on. She confirmed that the narrative surrounding an incident at a show-related party had shifted significantly since the show's debut in December 2025.
"What I want to clarify is this: the narrative changed, and it wasn’t changed by me," Brophy wrote. She pointed to multiple media outlets and eyewitness accounts that contradicted the initial version of events, suggesting the story evolved as more facts emerged.
Behind the Scenes of the Alleged Spat
The alleged conflict reportedly began when Brophy was asked to leave a premiere party hosted by Taja Abitbol. Brophy had previously alleged she was handled "roughly" upon her exit and firmly denied speculation that she was intoxicated.
In her new statement, Brophy refrained from direct accusations but alluded to the situation being a "rookie mistake" by others—an attempt to divert press and filming attention that ultimately backfired. She also noted that commentators had questioned whether jealousy was a motivating factor.
"I didn’t come to compete for attention," she stated. "I showed up as myself — calm, respectful, and gracious. The cameras followed on their own. The press followed the facts."
Moving Forward from the Controversy
Brophy concluded her message by firmly stepping away from the drama. "I won’t engage in name-calling or drama. I don’t need to," she asserted, expressing confidence that the truth would reveal itself through photos and firsthand accounts.
She vowed to continue "moving forward with dignity, letting my character speak louder than controversy." Away from the screen, Gale Brophy is the CEO and owner of a luxury property company, managing two five-star estates marketed as alternatives to The Hamptons, with a prior high-flying career in finance, PR, and horse racing.
The reality series, Members Only Palm Beach, which follows five wealthy women navigating the elite social scene of Palm Beach, remains available for streaming on Netflix.
