Gale Brophy, a standout personality from Netflix's reality series Members Only: Palm Beach, has issued a statement addressing rumours of a feud with co-star Taja Abitbol. The show, which premiered in December, follows five wealthy women navigating high society in Palm Beach.
Brophy, who appears in a supporting role, was reportedly asked to leave Abitbol's premiere party. She denied claims of being intoxicated and said she was treated 'roughly' during her exit. In a lengthy Instagram post, Brophy stated that the narrative around the incident had been changed by others, not by her.
'Multiple media outlets and eyewitnesses have reported that what was first suggested publicly did not align with what actually happened,' Brophy wrote. She added that she would not engage in 'name-calling or drama' and would let her character speak for itself.
Brophy, a property firm owner and former executive in finance, PR, and horse racing, said she showed up as herself and that the cameras followed naturally. She dismissed suggestions of jealousy, noting that the attempt to 'ice someone out' had backfired.
Members Only: Palm Beach is now streaming on Netflix.
