Love Island's Gabby Allen Fails Celebrity SAS Challenge Within Seconds

Love Island star Gabby Allen became the first contestant to fail the opening challenge of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, panicking underwater within seconds. The Channel 4 show returned for its eighth series on Sunday, January 4, with 14 celebrities facing a modified version of SAS training.

For the first time, contestants were split into two international teams: seven from the UK and seven from Australia. Team UK included Love Island favourites Gabby Allen and Dani Dyer, alongside social media influencers, rugby hero Ben Cohen, Gladiator Toby Olubi, and cricket star Graeme Swann.

The first mission was an emergency evacuation drill, where one participant from each team was strapped into a plane and submerged underwater. They had to hold their breath for 30 seconds before escaping. Gabby went first alongside Olympic swimming champion Mack Horton, but began panicking seconds in and was rescued by the crew.

The 33-year-old was visibly frustrated after the test, admitting she had not taken a deep enough breath. Dani Dyer also failed the underwater challenge, saying she 'instantly failed'. Ahead of the episode, Dani described the experience as one of the hardest of her life, but said she would love to do it again.

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins continues on Channel 4 at 9pm.
