Zip World at Betws-y-Coed is bringing back its annual Halloween event, Ffear Fforest, running from October 8 to November 1. The site transforms after dark, offering adrenaline-fueled activities in the North Wales countryside.
After-Dark Adventures
Ffear Fforest operates from 7.30pm to 10.30pm each evening. Visitors will encounter creepy characters in the darkness, making it an event not for the faint-hearted.
Standard night passes start from £24 per person and include two rides on the Cursed Coaster, unlimited visits to the Nets, and access to The Surge, where guests race against a 10-minute alarm to win merchandise and vouchers. Additional adventures can be added for an extra cost.
Thrill Rides and Attractions
The Cursed Coaster sends riders along 1km of track through a pitch-black forest at speeds up to 25mph, guided only by a headlamp. The Nets offers high-up bouncing and walking among tree walkways.
Adrenaline seekers can take on Nightfall, a 100ft drop through trapdoors into darkness, priced from £18. Screamride, one of Europe's largest swings, seats up to five people and costs from £19.80, hoisting riders 24m before releasing the swing through the trees.
Event Details
Tree Horrors is a high ropes course with treetop obstacles, zip lines, cargo nets, and balance beams, while creepy clowns cause mayhem below. The event is suitable for those aged nine and over, with under 18s accompanied by an adult.
Ffear Fforest runs from October 8 to November 1, from 7.30pm to 10.30pm. Tickets are available for purchase.
