The BBC has released a first-look trailer for the second series of Celebrity Traitors, and fans think they have worked out who wins after spotting Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock is 'missing'.
First Look at Series 2
Claudia Winkleman is back at the helm of the psychological game show, which is due to land on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in autumn 2026. The hit series saw 21 well-known faces descend on Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, where they battled it out in the ultimate test of loyalty and deception for a charitable prize fund of up to £100,000.
Filming got under way in May and wrapped up by June, with producers reportedly pulling out all the stops to top the first series - in which comedian Alan Carr took the crown - by expanding the run to 10 episodes.
Cast Revealed
The complete cast was formally revealed as production commenced on May 2. Featured among them are celebrated performers including Michael Sheen, Richard E. Grant, Bella Ramsey, Julie Hesmondhalgh, Sharon Rooney, Myha'la and Sebastian Croft, together with comedians Joe Lycett, James Acaster, Miranda Hart, Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan and Joanne McNally.
Television presenters and broadcasters also appear in the line-up, including Love Island presenter Maya Jama, BBC journalist Amol Rajan, investigative presenter Ross Kemp and mathematician Professor Hannah Fry. The line-up is completed by musicians, models and content creators, among them Little Mix's Leigh-Anne Pinnock, singer-songwriter James Blunt, supermodel and actress Jerry Hall, and YouTube creator King Kenny.
Trailer Sparks Speculation
In the newly released first-look teaser trailer, host Claudia Winkleman was seen welcoming the celebrity cast into the chapel at Ardross Castle. She walks down the aisle of the chapel, where the famous faces are gathered in the pews for the first time, and addresses them by saying, "A moment of silence for the celebrities gathered today."
The trailer shows close-up shots of worried and frightened expressions from the contestants. Notable figures seen in the pews include Bella Ramsey, Maya Jama, Romesh Ranganathan, Richard E. Grant, and Rob Beckett. Before making her way out of the chapel, Claudia says, "Thoughts and prayers," followed by, "Who doesn't love a dramatic exit?"
After the trailer dropped on X, several fans were quick to point out that Leigh-Anne seemed to be 'missing', prompting speculation. One fan remarked: "How dare they not show Leigh-Anne when she's one of the highest tier celebs in the cast," while another simply asked: "Where is Leigh Anne?".
A third suggested: "We only see Leigh-Anne's hair... she's either first out or the winner." Meanwhile, a fourth added: "BBC choosing a frame where Leigh-Anne isn't visible, Leigh-Anne avoiding naming the TV show she did 'filming for' in her Patreon videos, refusing to say anything other than 'it was wild'. The hyper-secrecy makes me think she did very well."
What to Expect
While details of what happened on the programme remain tightly under wraps, producers and participants have dropped several tantalising hints about events that unfolded during filming. BBC entertainment director Ed Havard suggested that Series 2 features major gameplay shifts and developments that "have never been seen before" on any iteration of The Traitors.
Rumours circulating on social media also suggest a significant recruitment process takes place within the castle's turrets, potentially leading to as many as seven different Traitors over the course of the series. An exact premiere date has not been officially confirmed by the BBC yet, but The Celebrity Traitors Series 2 is scheduled to air in autumn 2026.
