Love Island viewers caught an awkward moment during the 2026 final on Monday, as runner-up Jasmine Muller appeared to snub winner Julia Majchrzak after the results were announced.
Winners Crowned
Lorenzo Alessi and Julia Majchrzak were crowned the 2026 Love Island winners, sharing a £50,000 prize. They beat fellow Islanders Kavan Murphy, 21, and Jasmine Muller, 27, who placed second, with Simba Kudyiwa, 24, and Angelista Gunda, 24, coming third.

After the announcement, many Islanders rushed to congratulate the winning couple. However, eagle-eyed fans noted that Jasmine hugged Lorenzo but did not hug Julia.
Taking to X, one viewer wrote: "You see the way Jasmine aired Julia and didn’t hug her she’s angry that she didn’t win #loveisland." Another added: "Jasmine couldn’t have made it any clearer that she doesn’t like Julia! #loveisland."
A different fan asked: "did jasmine and julia hug ?? #LoveIsland #LoveIslandUK" while a commenter replied: "Ya’ll peep Jasmine SWERVING hugging Julia just then??? #loveisland #loveislanduk."
One account claimed: "Jasmine not even hugging Julie we love to see it #loveisland #loveislanduk," and another said: "jasmine not hugging julia ? #loveisland." A further viewer wrote: "Jasmine FUMING hhhhhhaaaaaahahahhaha #LoveIsland."
Winners' Reactions
Lorenzo appeared shocked and delighted, laughing and saying: "What the hell?" Julia told presenter Maya Jama: "I would just love to say thank you to everyone. I didn’t think that coming into Casa, I would be stood here. It’s crazy." Asked about the prize money, she added: "I want him to move in with me."
Final Twist
Earlier in the final, Yasmin Hadlow and Tommy Stagg were dumped by fellow contestants Mica Harris and Samraj Toor, leaving only three finalist couples instead of the usual four. Love Island airs on ITV and ITV X.
