Emmerdale's Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) is set to discover the truth about her health struggles in tomorrow's episode, as GP Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) begins to suspect she has orthorexia.
Gabby has developed an unhealthy relationship with food, believing she should only eat meals she deems healthy. She has also concluded that medication has a negative impact on her body and decided to stop taking it.
Gabby's restrictive diet and medication fears
Star Rosie Bentham explained: 'She's not actually fuelling herself with a balanced diet, which is what she needs. She has taken the control way too far and restricting herself from the food groups that would heal her from this.'
'Digging a little bit deeper, it's actually because she has demonised certain food groups and been completely way too restrictive, which has meant she can't recover properly. Then there's the mention of antibiotics when she gets more ill, which come into the equation.'
Gabby is currently suffering from a nasty cough, but she isn't feeling any better because she isn't taking her medication.
Manpreet's discovery at the surgery
In tomorrow's episode, Gabby returns to the surgery for an appointment and tells Manpreet that her cough is still bad. When Gabby starts sharing wild conspiracy theories about pharmaceutical companies, Manpreet grows curious.
As the penny drops for Manpreet, the question remains how Gabby will react to the GP's concern that she has orthorexia.
Other Emmerdale storylines
Elsewhere, Kim Tate (Claire King) is delighted when Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) and Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) arrive home with baby Tate. Her hope turns to heartbreak, however, as Joe reveals he is still putting his son up for adoption.
Kim then discovers Graham is leaving Home Farm, and soon enough the big house feels very empty.
Down the road, Thea Ramsden (Chelsea Edge) opens up to Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy) about seeing Kim's vulnerable side and wonders if she has got her wrong. As Thea ponders revealing her identity to Kim, her mind changes when she overhears what she believes is a callous remark from Kim about baby Tate.
Also, Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) continues to support Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler), while Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) faces a problem when Moses asks if baby Leyla is his sister.
