Danny Dyer Drops Major Celebrity Traitors Hint After Past Rejections
Danny Dyer hints at Celebrity Traitors signing

Danny Dyer has sparked speculation that he may finally be set to appear on the hit BBC reality show, Celebrity Traitors, after his daughter dropped a significant hint. The EastEnders actor, 47, has a well-known history of turning down major reality TV offers, including I'm A Celebrity and Strictly Come Dancing.

Dani Dyer's Telling Comment

The latest clue came from Danny's daughter, Dani Dyer, 29. Speaking to The Sun, she revealed she had been asked about appearing on the show herself but suggested her father would be a much better fit. "I wouldn't be good at Traitors. My dad would be good at it," she stated, adding that she preferred to be a viewer. Dani praised the most recent series, expressing particular admiration for contestant Kate Garraway.

From 'No' to 'If the Money's Right'

This marks a potential U-turn for Danny Dyer. On his Live And Let Dyer podcast last year, he confirmed producers had approached him but he said no because he had never watched the programme. However, after becoming a fan, his stance softened dramatically. "I’m into it now," he said, adding, "So if the money‘s right… because I might get involved in the next series." He declared he would want to be a Traitor, describing the role as "more fun" due to the double and triple bluffs involved.

Producers' Pursuit of a 'Dream Signing'

According to a source, BBC producers are intensely keen to secure Dyer for the show's anticipated return. "Danny Dyer is a reality TV booker's dream signing but for years has turned down every offer," the source told The Sun. "They're doing everything they can to get the deal over the line." The show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, has been confirmed for a second celebrity season, with many viewers eagerly awaiting its return.

Whether this family hint translates into a confirmed casting remains to be seen, but it has certainly fuelled anticipation among fans of the suspenseful series.
