Dannii Erskine, known for appearing on the Australian reality show Bride and Prejudice: The Forbidden Weddings, has died at the age of 28 after a car crash caused by a drunk driver. Her family confirmed the tragic news on social media, stating that she passed away on April 28.
According to her sister Dee, Dannii was driving through a green light when an intoxicated driver struck her vehicle. She was rushed to hospital but suffered severe injuries, including a crushed skull from the airbag impact. She was declared brain dead at 12:01am on April 29, and life support was switched off shortly before 6am.
Dannii rose to fame on the 2019 season of Bride and Prejudice, where she sought to marry her partner Denton Ansley, causing family tensions. The show featured a physical confrontation between Dannii and her family, who objected to the relationship following the death of her father six months prior.
Her family has requested privacy and announced that her Instagram account will be deleted. Funeral arrangements are being made, and tributes have poured in from loved ones.
