Coronation Street fans believe actress Lucy Fallon, who plays Bethany Platt, may have accidentally revealed a huge spoiler about Sarah Platt's fate. Sarah, portrayed by Tina O'Brien, is currently behind bars after being charged with the murder of Theo Silverton.
Sarah's dramatic storyline
Sarah was arrested last month for the murder of Theo, whom she killed in April by attacking him with a metal pole on scaffolding, causing him to fall to the ground. She then enlisted the help of Gary Windass (Mikey North) to cover up the crime. Despite attempts by her boyfriend Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) to help her avoid arrest, Sarah was taken into custody on suspicion of killing Theo.
Initially pleading her innocence, Sarah was eventually charged with murder by DS Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) and sent to prison. Fans have been speculating whether her imprisonment would lead to a departure from the show.
Lucy Fallon's Instagram story
On X, a fan shared a recent Instagram Story by Lucy Fallon, showing Lucy and Tina O'Brien posing on the Coronation Street set. The fan wrote: "Guess ar Sarah Lou gets out then x. Lucy Fallon – spoiling future corrie storylines since 2025," referencing a previous incident where Lucy was accused of leaking a spoiler.
Other social media users reacted, with one saying: "Sarah was never going to get done for it!" Another commented: "Lucy Fallon what else can you tell us" with a crying emoji. However, some fans pointed out that the prison set is located opposite the cafe on the set, suggesting the photo may not be a spoiler. One wrote: "The prison set is only opposite there, above the cafe…" Another suggested: "She’s just taking a photo with Tina… they might not be in character yet lol."
Previous spoiler accusations
This is not the first time Lucy has been accused of leaking spoilers. In October last year, she shared a dressing room selfie showing Becky Swain actress Amy Cudden's name on a mirror. Addressing the claims at the time, Lucy told The Sun: "Oh my god, yeah. Someone tagged me in a social post saying, 'Lucy Fallon comes back after having a baby and leaks the biggest storyline in Corrie'" and added, "I was like, 'What the hell are they talking about? What have I done?' But honestly, nobody would have known what character that name belonged to – it wasn’t even a spoiler at that point."
