Coronation Street airs a deadly final showdown for Jodie Ramsey and Shona Platt next week, with a gun fired and someone shot. The dramatic scenes see secrets finally exposed as the sisters clash, leaving one character fighting for their life.
Jodie's Scheme Unravels
Jodie tampered with her dad Doug's medication and claimed he was a danger to the family, leading to a mental health team arriving to assess him. Doug is led away but quickly warns Shona to watch out for Jodie. Bethany Platt seems to be onto Jodie too, when Shona admits her own mental health concerns.
When Bethany catches Jodie red-handed, Jodie turns the tables with her own plan to keep Bethany quiet. Shona soon realises she's been set up though, with the constant baby crying noises. Shona admits the noises that no one else can hear sound like a recording.
The Shooting
Jodie does the unthinkable and sets up Shona's teenaged stepdaughter Lily. When Lily's phone is plugged into the docking station at the Bistro, the room is suddenly filled with the sound of Harper crying. Lily is accused of recording the crying to make Shona think she was losing her mind, but she denies this.
Soon Shona and Jodie clash, as accusations fly and secrets are exposed. As one of them is pushed to their limit, a weapon is drawn and a gunshot rings out. David calls for an ambulance and explains that someone has been shot. Paramedics arrive, and detective Lisa Swain questions David about the shooting.
Other Storylines
Elsewhere, Christina approaches Lucy. Sally calls at the café and is unimpressed to find Lucy bunking off school and enjoying a drink with Christina. Sally agrees to speak to social services and take their advice, but spells out to Christina that until then she must keep her distance. When Christina later vanishes along with the ashes belonging to Christina's secret daughter and Lucy's late mother Rachel, alarm bells ring. George finds Christina clutching the urn and assures her they'll find their own way to honour Rachel.
Summer finds out Marco has been in a car crash in which he was a getaway driver. Leanne asks Sam to work at Speed Daal, but when he spies Idris Nazir's credit card lying on a table he takes it. Idris catches Sam trying to use the card on his crypto app.
With Kit Green continuing to hide his cancer diagnosis, he's forced to reveal all to colleague Lisa next week. DC McLaughlin tells Lisa that Kit has called in sick for the third time this week. When Kit fails to answer his phone after the shooting drama, Lisa rounds on him for being AWOL. Kit reveals he's got cancer, and Lisa promises that she and the force will support him anyway they can.
