Coronation Street viewers think they've worked out who DC Kit Green has been making secret phone calls to after his Sarah Platt heartbreak.
Viewers of the ITV soap will recall that Kit arrived in Weatherfield back in 2024 when Bernie Winter went on a mission to find her long-lost son, Zodiac. When she found Kit, she posed as a cleaner to get into his house before rifling through his drawers. When she was caught red-handed, Bernie had to explain why she was really there, but Kit lied and said he wasn't adopted. However, it was later confirmed that Bernie had found her long-lost son, and the pair didn't have the best of starts.
Kit's Recent Struggles
Since then, Kit has discovered he has a son, teenager Brody Michaelis, and he's struck up a romance with Sarah Platt, all while bothering DS Lisa Connor-Swain at Weatherfield nick. However, he found himself dumped by Sarah Platt after paying his almost-fiance a visit in prison following her confession of the murder of Theo Silverton.
After a confrontation with Maria Windass, viewers watched as Kit listened to a voicemail from a woman who asked to speak with him, before locking his phone. Later on, after a drunk Kit rejected Jodie Ramsay, telling her to stop following him before returning to his flat to drown his sorrows. He could then be seen deleting a photograph of Sarah from his phone, he dialled a number and left a message to say that he'd "be there".
Fan Theories
Now, viewers are worried for Kit, thinking it could be health-related. On a Reddit thread, u/soapfan121 suggested: "Is Kit sick? The person referred to him as his full name then when he called back it was a business with opening hours. Him saying he'll be there could be him confirming an appointment? I get the vibe he may have been drinking to avoid more than just his breakup with Sarah!"
Meanwhile, u/footieislife10 replied: "I think there's more to it but not sure what. Sarah only broke up with him the day before and he seemed a mess so doubt he'd have had time to apply for a new job in that space of time. Maybe he's ill and that's another reason he's drinking. Seemed official to call him Christopher and not Kit or DC Green. Found it weird they showed that picture of Bernie on his phone just before he called back at the end. Maybe it's something to do with her. There is a new relative coming into the show next week so maybe linked to that somehow."
