Jeremy Clarkson was left in disbelief on Friday night as a contestant on ITV's Millionaire Hot Seat walked away with £10,000 despite admitting to having no idea about the answers.
The new game show, which began earlier this week, features six players rotating in the 'hot seat', with 15 seconds to answer questions. Each player has one 'pass' to skip a question if unsure.
Contestant Daisy Kilbey used her pass almost immediately, prompting Clarkson to remark: 'Brief time in the chair, barely warmed it up!' She later returned as the final player and, when faced with the £10,000 question, confessed she 'didn't have a clue' and took a 'stab in the dark'.
To Clarkson's astonishment, she guessed correctly. He told her: 'You are the luckiest human being alive. You've known nothing, and you are leaving here with £10,000.'
Viewers had mixed reactions to the new format, with some criticising it as 'over engineered' and 'almost impossible to win anything significant', while others celebrated Kilbey's luck.
