Reality television personality Brittany Cartwright has publicly announced her readiness to enter the dating scene once again as she navigates her ongoing divorce from husband Jax Taylor.
BravoCon Declaration
During the Peaks & The Valley panel at BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas on Friday, the 36-year-old made her relationship status crystal clear to attendees. "I am single, so introduce me," Cartwright declared from the stage, sending a direct message to potential suitors.
The former Vanderpump Rules star also took the opportunity to address speculation surrounding her recent involvement with Brandon Hanson, firmly denying allegations that she had been dating a married man. Cartwright explained that Hanson was already separated from his wife when their romantic involvement began.
Setting the Record Straight
"It was like a short lived thing. It got more popular on the internet, like much quicker than it should have. So I would not have went public with that," she revealed during the panel discussion. Emphatically stating her position, Cartwright added: "He was separated, just like me, not married. I'm not a homewrecker."
Cartwright provided further details about her relationship with Hanson on her podcast When Reality Hits with Brittany Cartwright, describing it as a "whirlwind relationship" that became public knowledge prematurely. The pair had been spotted on a romantic getaway to Mexico in August, but Cartwright announced their split in mid-October.
"We were very good friends before we started dating," she shared. "We still care a lot about each other. It ended amicably, but I just could not do the long distance and he's got a lot of obligations with his three kids and jobs, and we lived three hours away, so it was just too tough to keep it going."
Priorities in Future Relationships
When discussing what she's looking for in her next partner, Cartwright made it clear that her four-year-old son Cruz, whom she shares with Taylor, remains her top priority. "Somebody who's a family man, somebody who eventually would love Cruz," she noted, outlining her ideal match.
The reality star's personal transformation has been substantial in recent months. Shortly before ending her relationship with Hanson, Cartwright underwent what's commonly referred to as a 'mommy makeover' - a surgical procedure that included a tummy tuck and breast reduction.
On her podcast, Cartwright confessed that her decision to pursue plastic surgery was partly influenced by hurtful comments Taylor made about her body during their relationship, including that she "looked like a tree trunk."
"I was torn down in my last relationship and lost a lot of my confidence, so I really wanted to get my confidence back," she explained candidly.
The collapse of Cartwright's marriage to Taylor has played out publicly across the first two seasons of their current reality show, The Valley. Taylor has openly discussed his struggles with cocaine addiction and anger management issues, though he now maintains he is sober.
Cartwright has made serious allegations about Taylor's behaviour during their relationship, claiming he once "threw" a coffee table during an argument that struck her knee, which "turned black immediately." She also accused him of throwing her "into the rose bushes" during another outburst - an accusation Taylor denied, though Cartwright retorted: "It's on my Ring camera doorbell. My close friends up here have seen the videos."
Taylor announced his departure from The Valley in July, stating he planned to focus on "my sobriety, my mental health and coparenting relationship."
The couple's relationship timeline spans nearly a decade, having started dating in 2015 and exchanging vows in 2019. However, by February 2024, Cartwright disclosed on their joint podcast that they had separated, marking the end of their nearly five-year marriage.
