Big Brother fans have expressed outrage after housemate Caroline referred to fellow contestant Richard as the 'antichrist' during Sunday's episode. The comment came after Caroline expressed shock that Richard survived the public vote in Friday's double eviction.
Speaking to Big Brother, Caroline said: 'I'm just shocked that people would want someone in here like Richard. Bless his little soul. I don't dislike the man, but he doesn't give a thing to the House. He doesn't join in anything.' She also lamented the exit of Farida, calling her 'fun' and saying she felt like crying.
Later in the episode, Caroline referred to Richard as the 'antichrist', a nickname that ITV viewers found particularly offensive given Richard is a practising Christian. One fan wrote on X: 'So Caroline is STILL continuing to call Richard, a practicing Christian, the 'Antichrist'. It's disgusting.' Another added: 'Caroline calling Richard the antichrist is so wild.'
Many viewers called for Caroline to be held accountable, with some labelling her behaviour as bullying. One fan said: 'Caroline thinks Richard is boring but this unjustified witch hunt she's setting on Richard is the most boring thing ever I'M TIRED OF THE BULLYING.' Another suggested Caroline was angry that Richard, being a nice person, is more liked by the public.
