ITV has confirmed that the 2026 season of Big Brother will feature a historic twist: a new house every week. The revelation has sparked excitement among fans, who believe the upcoming series could be the best yet.
The new series of the reality experiment is set to launch this September, with AJ Odudu and Will Best returning to present once more. They will be introducing strangers to the iconic house for what promises to be the longest series to date, running for eight weeks.
A Game-Changing Announcement
As usual, the contestants will be put through various tasks and surprises as they attempt to survive longer than their rivals. However, the forthcoming series has already brought in significant alterations, including a redesigned version of the iconic all-seeing eye logo.
Now, a fresh teaser has revealed another major change that has generated buzz across social platforms. On Sunday afternoon (August 23), the channel shared footage displaying various versions of the 2026 logo and announced that this year will see "a new house every week".
What the Teaser Reveals
Throughout the teaser, Big Brother declares: "Big Brother is back. But if you think you know the game...think again. A new house every week. Fresh chaos daily. Everything can change, in the blink of an eye."
It remains unknown whether series 23 will genuinely showcase eight separate houses throughout its eight-week duration, though this alteration represents a ground-breaking first since the programme moved to ITV in 2023.
Fans React to the Twist
While specifics about the twist remain closely guarded, fans reckon they're heading for the finest series yet. Writing on Instagram, one enthusiast gushed: "Oh I feel like we're in for an incredible season!"
Another viewer agreed, writing: "New house every week wth this might be the best BB ITV has made yettt," while a third commented: "This sounds soo good! !". Excitement has been building across social media, with fans posting: "This music will never not make me excited. Can't wait for the best show to return." One enthusiastic supporter added: "It's giving classic Big Brother and I love this."
While ITV has yet to officially announce a broadcast date for the new series, it is widely expected to debut on Sunday 13th September. Big Brother returns to ITV2 and ITVX soon.
