Belle Hassan Confesses to Flirty Texts with Joe Garratt Ahead of Love Island All Stars
Belle Hassan's Flirty Texts with Joe Garratt Revealed

Love Island star Belle Hassan has revealed she shares flirtatious late-night messages with fellow islander Joe Garratt, just days before she is set to enter the Love Island: All Stars villa.

A 'Safety Blanket' Friendship

Belle, who will appear on the ITV2 show next week, described Joe as her "best friend" and "safety blanket". The pair originally met on the 2019 series of the hit dating show. Despite their close bond, Belle insists they have consciously tried to keep their relationship platonic, though she admits the chemistry is hard to ignore.

Speaking to The Mirror, the brunette beauty said: "I’d love to see Joe Garratt in there. Everyone keeps questioning if anything has happened, I’m like no. But I’d love to see him because he is my safety blanket and I love him so much."

The 10pm Flirting Rule

Belle explained that their timing has never quite aligned romantically, as one has always been in a relationship when the other was single. However, she confirmed that this is the first time they have both been single simultaneously.

"I’m like, ‘Stay away from me! I don’t want to ruin this’," she joked. "I can’t help but flirt, and neither can he. We flirt after 10pm on the phone. We have a rule – no flirting before 10!"

Dad's Watchful Eye and Joe's Past in the Villa

Belle also touched on the influence of her famous father, actor Tamer Hassan, who she says is "proud" but also keeps a close watch on her love life. She laughed that while some suitors might be intimidated by the Football Factory star, he is ultimately a "big loving bear".

Meanwhile, Joe Garratt has his own history with the All Stars format, having returned to the villa in 2024. His stint was cut short when he was dumped in a brutal twist. During that series, he sparked a connection with Molly Smith but ultimately chose to couple up with Arabella in a recoupling that surprised viewers.

Love Island: All Stars begins on Monday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
