Love Island star Belle Hassan has revealed that she and fellow islander Joe Garratt have been exchanging flirty late-night texts, just days before the All Stars series begins. Belle, who appeared on the 2019 series, confessed that although they've tried to keep things platonic, the flirtation is hard to resist.
Speaking to The Mirror, Belle said: 'I'd love to see Joe Garratt in there. He's my best friend. Everyone keeps questioning if anything has happened, I'm like no. But I'd love to see him because he is my safety blanket and I love him so much.' She added that they have a strict 'no flirting before 10pm' rule, but after that, the flirty calls begin.
Belle explained that timing has always been an issue for them: 'He has always been in a relationship when I'm single, and when he's single, I've been in a relationship, so we've never been single at the same time. This is the only time we've been single at the same time.'
The 26-year-old also spoke about her famous father, actor Tamer Hassan, who is known for his role in The Football Factory. She admitted that boys can be intimidated by him, but insisted he's a 'big loving bear'. Belle laughed: 'When I'm single, dad is like “For god's sake”. He hates it. He wants me married off!'
Joe Garratt previously appeared on Love Island: All Stars but was dumped from the villa after a dramatic recoupling. He chose Arabella instead of Molly Smith, explaining: 'I'd rather watch love blossom than steal it.' Belle is set to enter the All Stars villa when the new series begins on Monday at 9pm on ITV2.
