In a heart-stopping moment from tonight's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, YouTube sensation AngryGinge comes face-to-face with his ultimate fear during the gruelling Camp Fright trial.
Spider Showdown Silences Presenters
The 24-year-old streamer, whose real name is Leo, entered a tent for the challenge alongside campmates Aitch and Kelly Brook, with the pressure intensifying as their fellow celebrities, including new arrivals Vogue Williams and Tom Read Wilson, watched on. The first look at the trial shows Ginge stepping into the tent before immediately recoiling in terror upon spotting two large spiders.
Hosts Ant and Dec were quick to identify the creatures, with Ant explaining, 'These are Huntsman, they're big and they move quick'. As the presenters attempted to offer advice, an exasperated Ginge shot back with the direct quip: 'Do you want to nip in as well?!', effectively silencing their pithy jibes.
Campmates Offer Unhelpful Advice
Earlier scenes showed Ginge attempting to mentally prepare himself for the ordeal. His campmates tried to offer support, though their suggestions fell on deaf ears. Vogue Williams, 40, proposed, 'Maybe close your eyes and grab it?', to which a horrified Ginge retorted, 'Close my eyes and grab it?! Have you ever caught a spider before?'
The advice did not improve when Tom Read Wilson, 39, chimed in with, 'Try to see it as a friend', a suggestion that was met with a thoroughly unimpressed look from the terrified star.
A New Jungle Hierarchy Causes Tension
The trial unfolds amidst a major twist in the camp. Newcomers Vogue and Tom have entered the jungle not as ordinary contestants, but as chiefs residing in a luxury jungle 'Leader's Lodge'. This privileged position, complete with comfy beds, their own dunny, and views over the whole camp, is reported to be a psychological experiment designed to inflame the other campmates.
A source revealed that the pair will control the lives of the other celebrities, dictating their chores and activities. The campmates must compete for badges by impressing the chief explorers, a setup described as 'brutal' and likely to cause friction, particularly with Ruby Wax and Martin Kemp.
Vogue had previously shared that she joined the show seeking a 'jolt' after feeling stuck in her ways since turning 40 in October. I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight on ITV1 and ITVX.
