The 23-year-old streamer from Salford, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, opened up about his struggles with life in camp, admitting he was homesick and emotional about not being able to contact his mother.
While looking at a photograph of his family, Ginge broke down, prompting an outpouring of support from fans on social media. Many urged him to share his feelings with his campmates rather than hiding them. One viewer wrote: "Ginge is breaking my heart," while another said: "Someone please check on Ginge."
Despite his emotional moment, Ginge has become a fan favourite for his hilarious interactions with rapper Aitch, with whom he was friends before entering the jungle. The pair have been hailed as this year's "iconic duo" by viewers, who praised their banter during Bushtucker trials and camp tasks.
In Monday's episode, Aitch claimed 11 stars in a terrifying trial, though one was later deducted after Alex Scott was caught using contraband salt. Campmates were given an amnesty to surrender any smuggled goods without punishment.
