In a night of high-stakes jungle drama, Angry Ginge faced his third and most gruelling Bushtucker Trial on Sunday's episode of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, emerging victorious with a secret ten-star haul.
A Surprising Good Luck Charm
Before heading to the ominously named 'Terror-Flying Tours' trial, Ginge was cheered on by campmates Lisa and Ruby Wax at the bridge. In a bizarre turn of events, Ruby Wax OBE bestowed upon him her 'lucky' pants, proudly flashing a pair of bright red underwear. She declared them her go-to charm for success, stating, "I always wear red when I wanna, you know… pull off something." A visibly baffled Ginge responded, "You wanna give me your underwear?!" before Ruby promptly slipped them into the front of his backpack.
A World Tour of Terror
Upon arriving at the clearing, hosts Ant and Dec explained the challenge: a world tour where each destination was hidden inside a head box. To earn stars for the hungry camp, Ginge had to put his head inside each box and retrieve stars using only his mouth or tongue.
His global ordeal began in Egypt, where he was met with lizards. He struggled significantly with the chin-and-tongue technique needed to release the first star, nearly giving up as time slipped away. Spotting the struggle, Ant joked, "If nothing else this is going to be a great meme!" which sent Ginge into fits of laughter, costing him precious seconds.
Next was the Amazon rainforest, home to slithering snakes. In true comedic form, Ginge made an entrance by banging his head on the box, quipping, "That wasn't part of the trial," before expertly securing a full 2 out of 2 stars.
His tour continued with impressive success: he scored 2 out of 2 stars with toads in Miami Beach and grabbed a perfect 3 out of 3 stars amidst rats in London. The final leg took him to Australia, where he faced spiders and crocodiles, still managing to secure 2 out of 3 stars.
Triumphant Return and a Secret Revealed
With a total of 10 out of 12 stars, Ginge headed back to camp triumphant. In a mischievous move, he decided to pretend he'd only managed five stars, keeping the real total a secret until dinner. Back at camp, Lisa commented, "What he had to do, fair play for five. It sounds super hard with all that going on."
Reflecting on her unconventional gift, Ruby Wax joked, "Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. I'll try them again." With ten stars successfully brought back, it appears the lucky pants might just have done their job after all.
The triumph comes as Angry Ginge finds himself at the centre of a triple bidding war while still in the jungle. The 24-year-old's team has reportedly been "inundated" with money-spinning offers, including a book deal, TV work, and advertising campaigns. A source close to the viral creator revealed that brands have quickly identified his unique relatability and his powerful connection with an audience that has often eluded larger companies.
