Aitch Admits He Nearly Quit I'm A Celebrity 'Multiple Times'
Aitch reveals he nearly quit I'm A Celebrity multiple times

Rapper Aitch has made a startling confession following his departure from I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, revealing he came close to quitting the ITV reality show on multiple occasions.

Jungle Struggles and the Urge to Flee

The 25-year-old musician, whose real name is Harrison Armstrong, was the ninth contestant to be eliminated from the competition on Saturday night. This exit came as a surprise to many, as he had been the bookmakers' favourite to win the entire series.

Speaking candidly about his experience, Aitch described having "down days" in the Australian jungle. He told the Daily Mail, "I was dying to do a runner a couple of times." He recalled a specific moment around the halfway point where he felt compelled to head to the Bush Telegraph to plead for rescue.

"It's weird because you want to go off and have your little moment to yourself," he explained. "But then when you go and do that, you clock that there are cameras around and then you start tripping, thinking, 'Oh, I don't want to look like I'm having this alone moment for the camera.'" This internal conflict, he said, made the experience intensely challenging.

A Manchester Pact and Emotional Reunions

Despite the public vote ending his journey, Aitch stated he was "more than happy" to be out, admitting he needed "just a little breather." His departure leaves Tom Read Wilson, Shona McGarty, and his friend Angry Ginge in the final three.

Aitch revealed he and Ginge, 24, discovered they were both entering the jungle through a mutual friend, social media star Michael Taylor. They texted beforehand, agreeing on a friendly pact. "Nah, it was more a case of, like, right, if you don't win, I need to win. And if I don't win, you need to win," Aitch said. "Either way, we need to take this crown back to Manchester."

One of the most poignant moments of his stint came on Friday night when his twin sisters, Hattie and Gracie, surprised him in camp. Gracie, who has Down's syndrome, told him, "We've missed you so much!" In an emotional exchange, she asked if he would take her to Greggs if he was voted out, to which he happily agreed.

Looking Ahead to the Final

Reflecting on the reunion, Aitch told hosts Ant and Dec it felt "unreal" and that he was "gobsmacked." He said showing his sisters the photo of them he kept in camp was a special moment.

With Aitch now out of the running, the competition reaches its climax. The I'm A Celebrity final airs on Sunday at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
