Ant and Dec announced on Thursday night that Aitch has been evicted from the I'm a Celebrity jungle, missing out on a place in the final three. The result stunned fans, as the rapper had been a hot favourite to win the ITV reality show.
Bookmakers had Aitch as the frontrunner to be crowned King of the Jungle, but the public vote sent him packing. He follows Lisa Riley, Jack Osbourne, Martin Kemp, Ruby Wax, Kelly Brook, Alex Scott, Eddie Kadi and Vogue Williams out of the camp. The final three are now Ginge, Shona McGarty and Tom Read Wilson.
Speaking after his exit, Aitch said: 'My time in the jungle has been unreal. I learned a lot about people. Learned a lot about myself.' Fans were left fuming, with one writing: 'I am speechless,' and another adding: 'I must have misheard...he can't possibly have not made it to the final.'
In other news, Lisa Riley has revealed how her late mother helped her through her darkest moment in the jungle. The Emmerdale star, 49, said she felt 'alone' and 'vulnerable' after a particularly tough trial. She took herself to the creek and spoke to her mum Cath, who died of cancer in 2012 aged 57. 'I was like, “mum, I need some strength. I need to get through. I'm struggling, and I am finding things really hard,”' she said.
Riley described the fish gut challenge as the 'toughest time' she faced. She said the pressure of performing well in trials got to her, and she struggled with the lack of reassurance from home. Her campmates, including Martin Kemp, Jack Osbourne and Ruby Wax, rallied around her. 'Ruby went, “baby's lost her smile,”' she recalled. 'I had no smile in me.'
