Viewers of 22 Kids and Counting have criticised scenes featuring Millie Radford and her husband Harvey, with some accusing the episode of seeming 'staged'.
Millie kicks Harvey out
During the episode, which aired on Sunday night, viewers saw Millie kick her husband out of their home as he went back to his mum's house. As her dad, Noel, entered their home, he spotted a bin bag full of Harvey's clothes and a photograph of them on their wedding day torn to pieces on the floor.
Sharing moments from the episode on their social media, people also saw mum Sue attempt to help the pair patch things up by bringing in an expert in family dynamics, reports the Mirror.
Viewers react to the scenes
The clip from 22 Kids and Counting informed fans of the show that the couple had reached 'breaking point' before questioning whether or not Harvey was able to change his ways.
However, it wasn't long before people commented on the post, with many slamming the scenes from the episode, as some accused it of seeming 'staged'. One person called the scenes 'absolutely ridiculous' as another stated it was 'so staged now' compared to the earlier series.
Someone else commented: "Don't watch anymore, haven’t for a while, too staged now." As another wrote: "It was so much better when not scripted. You don't know what's real now. I used to love it, but find myself not as bothered now."
Praise for Sue and Noel
Although there were many people who praised Sue for trying to help her daughter and son-in-law. One person said: "Sometimes something needs to happen for people to realise what truly matters to them, and being a parent can be daunting, no matter how old you get, the fact that Millie’s parents have stepped in to help is an amazing thing, not just for Harley, but for Millie to know that no matter what, her parents only want to see her happy. Credit to Noel and Sue."
As another added: "It's wonderful he's getting support, but feel for him and them that this has been part of the show." With someone else saying, "Such amazing caring parents, every child is a credit to you both."
Couple make amends
In the end, the pair managed to make amends as Millie revealed she was pregnant with baby number four. Admitting it was 'complete and utter shock', the pair were seen in one heartwarming scene with their three other children, finding out the sex of the baby.
Discovering they were having a baby boy, they were all thrilled as Harvey said: "I am so, so happy. I'm shaking. I feel like it's a miracle. All the setbacks me and Millie have, something always makes us stronger. I'm buzzing."
Millie took to Instagram on September 23 to tell her followers the pair had welcomed their son into the world, whom they've called Cooper-Jax. The couple have been inundated with support and well-wishes over the joyful news of their latest arrival.
One person said: "Ahhh congratulations lovely, he’s just perfect, hope you are both doing well." While another shared: "Congratulations he is beautiful, hope mother and baby are doing well."
