A new BBC Two documentary marks the 30th anniversary of the Dunblane school shooting, the deadliest firearms atrocity in UK history. The film features a former PE teacher who was present on 13 March 1996, when a gunman entered a primary school gym and opened fire on adults and children. Parents of victims, TV presenter Lorraine Kelly, and former prime minister Tony Blair recount the campaign that led to a ban on private handguns. Kelly notes: 'There's an assumption that this horrific thing happened and guns were banned. It didn't happen like that.'
Elsewhere tonight, ITV1's Spring Clean – Keep, Chuck Or Cash In? at 7.30pm explores whether decluttering can improve mental health, with nearly half of UK adults reportedly living with 'stress-inducing clutter'. At 8pm on BBC One, Dragons' Den features a man in a chicken costume and beauty entrepreneur Jenna Meek as a regular panellist.
ITV1's true-crime strand at 9pm examines the case of Emma Caldwell, whose murder went unsolved for years until a documentary helped catch killer Ian Packer. Channel 5's Travel Man visits Jaipur, starting with McDonald's before exploring the Pink City and shopping for diamond jewellery. On U&Yesterday, Lasseter's Gold continues as Jeff Harris and Brendan Elliot search the Australian outback, with a melancholic tone reflecting the speculative nature of their quest.
