Insider Reveals Truth About Meghan and Harry's Deals

An insider has revealed what she believes is the truth behind Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Hollywood deals. Since stepping down from senior royal roles in 2020 and moving to California, the couple has remained in the spotlight with interviews, documentaries, and book releases. However, according to Newsnation star and American journalist Paula Froelich, not all is as it seems.

Claims of Failed Deals

Speaking on an episode of the Daily Expresso, Froelich claimed that after their six-part Netflix documentary series, nothing else worked out. She told host JJ Anisiobi: "Here's the deal. Just because you're famous doesn't mean you're smart or interesting. Really, the deals were to sew up the interesting story of the look into the Royal Family."

The controversial Netflix series, split into volumes 1 and 2, was released in December 2022. Harry and Meghan had signed a five-year deal with the streaming giant in 2020, which included, in addition to the documentary, Meghan's own lifestyle programme, With Love, Meghan. The show premiered in March 2025 and released new episodes until December 2025, but was cancelled after the second season due to poor viewership.

Spotify Deal Falls Flat

The couple also signed a deal with Spotify in 2020, which Froelich noted did not work out. She added: "Spotify wanted them for the chatty chat version of it. Didn't work out. You know, Bill Simmons called them the effing grifters. Which has stuck, unfortunately, for them." Froelich continued: "And then Netflix got their big money out of Harry and Megan and nothing else worked out because it was all just rehashed kind of cr*p."

Upcoming UK Visit

The next major event for the Sussexes is likely their return to the UK. Meghan is expected to join her husband for the first time in four years, along with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The family is reportedly visiting to mark the one-year-to-go event for the Invictus Games in Birmingham.
