In a live on-air announcement that surprised listeners, radio presenters and dance stars Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely revealed they are stepping down from the KISS Breakfast Show. The duo, famed for their roles in the award-winning troupe Diversity, will host their final show at the end of January 2026.
An Emotional Farewell After Five and a Half Years
Breaking the news during their Thursday morning slot, the pair expressed a mix of sadness and excitement about their decision. Jordan, 32, and Perri, 29, have been the voices of the national breakfast show for five and a half years, having taken over from previous hosts Tom Green and Daisy Maskell in August 2020.
Addressing their audience directly, they said there was no easy way to share the update. They reflected on their journey, calling it an 'absolute pleasure and a privilege' to wake up with listeners every day. 'It’s been the most special years of our lives, genuinely, and we’ve enjoyed every single moment,' they shared, highlighting the unique chemistry and high energy they brought to the airwaves.
Focusing on a Blockbuster 2026 and the 'Soul' Tour
The primary driver for their departure is a packed schedule for 2026, headlined by Diversity's next major venture. The dance group is preparing for its biggest tour yet, titled 'Soul', which is scheduled to run from February to May 2026.
'We’re going to get some lie-ins back, which is going to be a little bit weird to adjust to, but we do get to focus on all the other things that we get to do,' Jordan remarked. Perri added that while they are 'really, really sad to be leaving' the radio show, they are 'really excited about all those projects' on the horizon.
Legacy and Future of the KISS Breakfast Slot
Paul Gerrard, Content Director for KISS & Hits Radio, paid tribute to the departing hosts. He extended 'huge thanks to Jordan and Perri who have brought all the crazy energy, vibes, and creativity to KISS Breakfast', crediting them for making mornings worth waking up for. He confirmed the studio would miss them but wished them the best for their future endeavours.
The search for their successors is already underway, with an announcement regarding the new hosts of KISS Breakfast expected very soon. The move marks the end of a significant chapter for the station, which saw the Diversity stars build a loyal following with their humour and relatable banter.
Beyond radio, Jordan and Perri first shot to fame in 2009 when Diversity, led by Ashley Banjo, won the third series of Britain's Got Talent. The troupe's success has since included multiple Royal Variety Performances, nationwide tours, and a role in the London 2012 Olympic Games torch relay.
