The events began on Saturday, 22 November 2025, when Reid checked into her hotel. According to reports from TMZ, she ordered a drink at the hotel bar and later met a group of YouTubers in the lobby. She then stepped outside for a cigarette break with one of them.
Upon returning to her drink, Reid noticed a napkin placed on top of her glass that she had not left there. After consuming the beverage, her memory becomes fragmented, with her next clear recollection being in a hospital.
Hospitalisation and Police Report
Disturbing footage from Sunday, 23 November, obtained by TMZ, showed the severity of the situation. Reid was seen being moved from the hotel lobby into a wheelchair. Her speech was slurred and her head swayed uncontrollably. Her body went limp, causing her to fall halfway out of the chair, requiring assistance to be placed back in before she was relocated to an ambulance and taken to a nearby hospital.
A representative for the actress confirmed the serious nature of the event to The Independent. "Tara Reid has filed a police report after an incident in which she believes her drink was tampered with," they stated. "She is cooperating fully with the investigation."

Reid's representative emphasised that the actress is now focused on her recovery. "Tara is recovering and asks for privacy during this traumatic time," they said. The statement also included a vital warning to the public, urging vigilance in social settings.
