Jordan Brook, star of The Only Way Is Essex, has revealed he is 'weak and unable to walk' due to his ongoing battle with viral meningitis and encephalitis. The 31-year-old shared the update in a wheelchair alongside his pregnant girlfriend Sophie Kasaei on Instagram.
Brook has been in hospital for two weeks after being diagnosed with viral meningitis and encephalitis, a rare and life-threatening inflammation of the brain. In his latest post, he thanked Sophie for 'holding' him up, writing: 'Lord give me strength. Get me home to my boy. Still not got the strength to walk and am super weak all over my entire body.'
Sophie, who is seven months pregnant with their first child, described the period as the 'worst month' of their lives. She said it was a 'scary time' as Jordan suffered seizures, but assured fans he was in safe hands. 'The baby keeps us all going,' she added.
Earlier, Brook shared a video from his hospital bed, explaining he had been unable to speak due to his illness. He confirmed his diagnosis of both viral meningitis and encephalitis, stating: 'This isn't something small or minor.'
