Paparazzi Heckle Hilaria & Alec Baldwin for Not Looking 'Loved-Up' at Gotham Awards
Paparazzi scold Baldwins for not posing as a couple

Hilaria Baldwin has responded with amusement after photographers publicly chastised her and her husband, actor Alec Baldwin, for not appearing sufficiently affectionate on the red carpet.

A Tense Red Carpet Moment

The incident unfolded outside the 35th Gotham Film Awards at Cipriani Wall Street in New York on Monday night. As the couple, married since 2012, arrived for the star-studded event, Alec, 67, was seen stepping back to allow Hilaria, 41, a solo moment to showcase her glittering outfit.

However, this gentlemanly gesture did not satisfy the waiting paparazzi. In a video Hilaria later shared on Instagram, photographers can be heard shouting aggressive instructions, including 'stop f***ing around already,' 'get together for god's sake' and 'get closer together.'

Hilaria's 'Obsessed' Reaction and Fan Backlash

While some observers were taken aback by the photographers' demanding behaviour, Hilaria took it in her stride. Captioning the clip with a flurry of laughing emojis, she wrote: 'I'm obsessed with the commentary on this.'

Social media users, however, were largely stunned by the paparazzi's conduct. Comments on the post ranged from disbelief to support for the couple's dynamic.

One user remarked: 'Just a tiny bit bossy, aren't they?' while another asked, 'Are paparazzi always that demanding?!' A third stated, 'I would deliberately ignore all such rude shouting.'

Others focused on Alec's considerate move, with one fan noting, 'Aww he loves her and he wants her to have the spotlight,' and another adding, 'He was letting you have the spotlight. So sweet.'

Family Life and Glamorous Nights

Alec and Hilaria met in 2011 and married the following year. They are parents to seven children: Carmen, 12, Rafael, 10, Leonardo, nine, Romeo, seven, Eduardo, five, María Lucía, four, and Ilaria, three. Alec also shares daughter Ireland Baldwin, 30, with ex-wife Kim Basinger.

For the prestigious Gotham Awards, which honour independent film, Hilaria wore a corseted Zimmermann mini dress with diamond-studded heels. She revealed she spotted the dress in a shop window just hours before the event while out running.

The ceremony itself was a magnet for Hollywood talent, with arrivals including Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Hudson, and Julia Roberts. Other notable guests included Naomi Watts, Elle Fanning, and Amanda Seyfried.

The night's big winners included:

  • Best Documentary Feature: Julia Loktev's 'My Undesirable Friends: Part I – Last Air In Moscow'
