Model's Golden Globes Glamour Amid Ex's $75k Lawsuit

Model Haley Kalil made a stunning appearance at the Golden Globes in Los Angeles on Sunday night, showcasing a glamorous front despite being embroiled in a bitter legal battle with her ex-husband, former NFL player Matt Kalil.

The Livestream Comments That Sparked a Lawsuit

The feud escalated after Haley, 33, participated in a livestream with broadcaster Marlon. During the conversation, she made deeply personal remarks about the size of Matt Kalil's manhood, suggesting it was equivalent to 'two Coke cans, maybe even a third'. She stated this was a significant factor in the breakdown of their marriage, which ended in 2022, and claimed they had tried everything, including therapy and medical consultations, to save it.

In response, Matt Kalil, 36, filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife. The former Minnesota Vikings and Carolina Panthers offensive lineman, who stands at 6-foot-6, is seeking $75,000 in damages. He alleges her 'degrading and deeply personal comments' have subjected him and his new wife to unwanted public scrutiny and invasive commentary, spoiling his attempts to maintain a private life.

Erotic Autonomy Defence and Social Media Fallout

According to reports from TMZ, Haley Kalil's legal team plans to fight the case by invoking the principle of 'erotic autonomy'. This legal concept refers to an individual's freedom to discuss and make decisions concerning their own sexuality. Her lawyer is expected to argue this defence in a bid to have the lawsuit dismissed.

The court documents include screenshots of abusive messages allegedly sent to Matt Kalil's new wife, model Keilani Asmus, whom he married in summer 2024. The messages, which reference Haley's Coke can analogy, are described as 'increasingly frequent, disturbing and alarming in nature'. One read, 'Nah there's no way she can take 2 coke cans, sorry,' while another asked, 'Does it hurt to walk?'.

A Glamorous Front and Heartbreak Over Litigation

Haley Kalil showed no visible signs of stress at the Golden Globes event, held at the Beverly Hilton. She mingled confidently on the red carpet, wearing a striking deep purple gown by designer Marc Bouwer.

Earlier in the week, she told Page Six she was 'shocked' by the legal action. 'The truth is in the original livestream — which is still live on Marlon's YouTube account,' she said, adding that she had spoken highly of Kalil at other points in the conversation. She expressed heartbreak that he had chosen to pursue litigation, calling it a 'harrowing and emotionally draining experience' for both their families.

This high-profile clash between a model and a former sports star continues to unfold, blending issues of personal privacy, freedom of speech, and the very public fallout of a failed marriage.
