The actress was praised for her swift maternal instinct, instantly pulling her child close and glaring at the crowd as she hurried towards a building for safety.
However, the focus of fan anger quickly turned to her husband, Jake Bongiovi, 23, the son of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi. Viewers noted that he was walking behind Brown and did not appear to intervene or help create a protective barrier around his wife and child.
