Former NFL offensive tackle Matt Kalil has launched a legal battle against his ex-wife, model Haley Kalil, after she made explicit comments about the size of his manhood during a podcast appearance that swiftly went viral.
The Viral Podcast Claims and Legal Action
Haley Kalil, a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, appeared on a podcast where she discussed intimate details of her former marriage to the athlete. She described his penis as being the size of 'two coke cans, maybe even a third' and suggested intimacy issues contributed to the end of their seven-year union, which concluded in 2022.
In response, Matt Kalil, a first-round draft pick in 2012 who played for the Minnesota Vikings, has filed a lawsuit. His attorney, Ryan Saba, provided a statement to Page Six, accusing Haley of making 'outrageous' comments in a quest for 'fortune and fame'. The suit alleges invasion of privacy and unjust enrichment.
Impact on Kalil's Family and New Marriage
The legal documents claim the viral commentary has subjected Kalil to widespread ridicule and unwanted public attention. It has also impacted his family and his new wife, model Keilani Asmus, whom he married in the summer of 2024.
The suit includes screenshots of vile and disturbing messages sent to Asmus on social media, directly referencing the podcast claims. Kalil asserts these messages have become increasingly frequent and alarming. He is seeking damages exceeding $75,000 and has requested a jury trial.
Model's Response and Counter Claims
Speaking to TMZ after being served with the lawsuit, Haley Kalil expressed shock and hurt. She stated she is 'genuinely shocked and incredibly hurt' by the legal action, calling litigation a 'harrowing and emotionally draining experience'.
She countered that during the same live stream conversation, she spoke highly of her ex-husband 'six times', even referring to him as 'the greatest guy in the world'. Despite this, Kalil's legal team maintains her disclosures were of no legitimate public concern and were intentionally invasive.
