During the call, which lasted only one minute, Andrews told Price he had been interrogated and had a hood placed over his head. Price said authorities suspected he was a spy. She thanked the police and foreign embassy for their support, describing the ordeal as 'a worry'.
Price disclosed that she told Andrews he is 'the most hated man in Britain', a claim that shocked him. She explained that many people believe his disappearance was a scam. Andrews asked if she thought he was dead, and she admitted the possibility had crossed her mind.
Addressing speculation about Andrews's phone activity, Price insisted he had not been using his phone. She said authorities had confiscated it and were 'mucking about' on it. She also denied that Andrews had been in contact with another woman, attributing any apparent activity to account settings.
