The Guardian newspaper has published its latest round of corrections and clarifications, addressing a series of factual errors that appeared in recent print and online editions.
Incorrect Details on Education and Career
In a section of the Saturday magazine from 15 November, the publication incorrectly stated the educational background of actor and comedian Ronni Ancona. The article wrongly claimed she studied at Edinburgh College of Art. In fact, Ancona's academic history includes studies at Central Saint Martins and University College London.
Furthermore, the same article contained an error regarding the sketch show 'Big Impression'. It was reported that the programme ran until 2003, but this was incorrect due to an editing error. The show actually continued until 2004.
Errors in Film and Drama Previews
A separate error was identified in the What's on preview section from 22 November. This piece inaccurately described Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe's involvement in the BBC drama 'Prisoner 951', which is based on a book she wrote with her husband. Contrary to the preview, Zaghari-Ratcliffe was not a producer on the project.
Another mistake was found in a pre-printed feature for the What's on section, scheduled for 29 November. This article referred to Chris Foggin's film 'This Is Christmas' as having been released 'last year'. The film was actually released in 2022. The Guardian noted that this particular error appeared in the print version only.
Commitment to Accuracy and Reader Engagement
The publication also listed other recently amended articles, demonstrating its ongoing process of reviewing and updating content. These included pieces on boudoir photography and Christmas gifts for swimmers.
